The President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine An. Tassoulas received today, in an audience, the European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, also in charge of demography Dubravka Šuica.
Ms. Šuica briefed Mr. Tassoulas on matters of her competence, placing particular emphasis on the implementation of the Pact for the Mediterranean. In this framework, Ms. Šuica expressed her gratitude for Greece’s important role and its contribution to the development of the Pact and the First Action Plan.
Furthermore, the President of the Hellenic Republic exchanged views with Ms. Šuica on the demographic issue faced by European countries, as well as on the geopolitical situation in the wider region, which has significant implications for Europe’s energy security.
