The President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine An. Tassoulas, received the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for the Protection and Promotion of Culture, Ms. Konstantza Smpokou-Konstantakopoulou.
During the meeting, Ms. Smpokou-Konstantakopoulou briefed Mr. Tassoulas on the initiatives and activities she has undertaken, as part of her mission, to promote Greek culture and cultural heritage at the international level. Particular reference was made to the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors Gathering, which will take place in Athens on September 10, 2026. Within the framework of the event, plans include, among others, a discussion on the topic “Artificial Intelligence and Culture” at the Temple of Olympian Zeus, as well as a dinner to support the UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity, with the aim of combating the illicit trafficking of cultural property.
The President of the Hellenic Republic expressed his support and wished the event every success.
