The President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine An. Tassoulas received the President of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria Mr. Vasilis Papastergiadis, who briefed him on the multifaceted work of the Greek Community, its contribution to promoting Greek culture and fostering the study of the Greek language in Australia, as well as its future initiatives and objectives.
Mr. Tassoulas wished Mr. Papastergiadis every success in the work and activities of the Community, noting that strengthening the ties between the Greek diaspora and the motherland, as well as further developing exchanges and cooperation between Greeks abroad and Greece, remains a constant priority for the Greek State.
